Blank Box runs its own cold outreach program across 12 Sunbelt metros. 21 inboxes, client-owned domain infrastructure, Smartlead for orchestration, Apify for list sourcing, MillionVerifier for validation. It is how we fill our own pipeline. We productized it so our clients can run the same thing on their own infrastructure while we operate it for them.

## Built for Ourselves First, Then Productized

Most agencies that sell cold outbound have never run their own. We started the other way around. Blank Box built a 21-inbox sending rig across 12 Sunbelt metros to fill its own pipeline, hit every operational cliff in person, and figured out how to keep the program running without the inboxes getting flagged or the deliverability collapsing on a Tuesday morning. We know where the failure modes live because we hit them ourselves before any client did.

Once the playbook was stable on our own program, we productized it. Each client gets a parallel build on their own sending infrastructure. Their own domains, their own Google Workspace seats, their own warmup, their own sequences, their own ICP. We operate it on Smartlead inside our master workspace, but every sending asset lives in accounts the client owns and pays for directly. There is no commingling of reputation, no shared inboxes, no client-on-client deliverability risk.

### How long until my first sent email?

Roughly 3 weeks after domain purchase. Sending domains need a 21-day inbox warmup before they can run real campaigns without getting flagged as spam. Skipping warmup is the fastest way to burn the infrastructure you just paid for. Week one is domain purchase, DNS, and Google Workspace seat provisioning. Weeks two and three are warmup running on every seat. Live sending begins as soon as warmup completes.

### What is the difference between this and Lemlist or Instantly or Smartlead DIY?

Those are tools. We are the operator. Buying Smartlead is the easy part. Setting up domains, configuring SPF and DKIM and DMARC correctly, running warmup without burning seats, writing sequences that do not trip filters, sourcing and verifying lists, monitoring deliverability daily, and triaging replies all takes a real amount of operational work. We do that for you on Smartlead, the same way we do it for ourselves.

### Can you guarantee a response rate?

No. Anyone who guarantees a response rate is either lying, has rigged the math, or is going to deliver low-quality replies that waste your sales team's time. Cold outbound performance depends on the offer, the list quality, the vertical, the season, and the sales follow-up. We tell you what we have seen on our own program and on similar verticals. We do not promise numbers we cannot defend.

### Who owns the data if I leave?

You do. The sending domains are registered in your name. The Google Workspace seats are on your billing. The lead lists, sequence copy, reply data, and CRM records all live in accounts you own. If you ever want to take the program in-house or move to another vendor, we hand you the keys and walk away. Nothing is locked in our infrastructure.
